Most of my life has been spent working in the business world (about 40 years).  When we moved to Colorado in June 1999 I began to take art seriously.  There is much to do in my new phase of life and I am enjoying every minute of it.

Mt work has been shown in Louisville Art in Public Places, Boulder Art Association Spring Show, Daily Times Call, North Boulder Recreation Center, East Boulder Community Center,  Rhythm on the River in 2002, 2003,2004, Wright Kingdom Realty in Boulder. Café Luna in Longmont and Inspire Salon in Longmont.  I have demonstrated at Wells Fargo Bank in Longmont, Café Luna, YMCA, and August Morning Coffee Shop and have taken part in Longmont Studio Tours for 4 years.  In addition, I have work in private collections internationally and in the United States.

 

Other Art Activities:

I addressed the St. Vrain Rotary Club in June 2003 on the subject of the Longmont Artist Guild and various art activities in the area.

 

I received a grant from the Longmont Council of the Arts 2003.  This came about when Wells Fargo Bank in Longmont, Studio Tours largest benefactor requested artists be come more active in the community.  My grant advised I would give programs regarding the art community in Longmont.  My first presentation “Discovering the Roots of Longmont Art” took place January 17, 2004 at the Longmont Senior Center where I gave ½ hr lecture.   The second portion was “Discovering your Hidden Talents – an Introduction to Pastels”.  I gave another PowerPoint presentation March 18, 2004 at the Longmont Library on “Discovering the Roots of Longmont Art”.

 

Other Activities

I served as Vice President of Longmont Newcomers Club 3/2000 to 3/2001 and President from 3/2001 to 2/2003.  During this period membership increased from 140 to 162 members.
